Traci Leister-Linstrom has been imparting musical excellence in and through the study of the piano for many years.

Traci Leister-Linstrom is a graduate of Chapman University’s School of Music and has completed extensive graduate studies at University of Southern California (USC). She has also completed a Master’s Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Cal State University at Fullerton where she also authored Tonal Center Reinforcements, an intermediate piano textbook, now transformed through five editions.

Upon graduation, she was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society for her exceptional academic achievements. She has been a member of the Music Teachers’ Association for over thirty years. For many of those years, her studio included the oversight of an assistant instructor and an overall enrollment of 70 students.

Part of her musical experiences include performing in church settings and weddings, directing musical theater, accompanying Desert Strings Conservatory and other serious instrumentalists, as well as playing with the local symphony orchestra. She has also served as an evaluator for programs presented by the California Association of Professional Music Teachers and the Music Teachers’ Association of California. As a former, long time faculty member of the music department at Victor Valley College, she instructed all four levels of the college’s piano program, using Tonal Center Reinforcements for the most advanced level. Tonal Center Reinforcements has been used at many institutions of higher learning as well as private piano studios.
